Chiricahua is a "Sky Island" region that supports a variety of wildlife, some of which are more commonly thought of
as denizens of subtropical habitats in Mexico or Central America. Even in February with snow and temperatures as
low as -10°F we still found a cornucopia of nature, turkeys, woodpeckers, centipedes, pines, yuccas, agaves,
and more.
